Vice President Mike Pence arrived to the Freitas Family Farm in Lemoore,
Calif. around 2:05 PM. The farm grows almonds, hay, alfalfa, wheat and
cotton. The speech is underneath a metal pavilion that is entirely
surrounded by large stacks of hay and farm equipment, such as a blazing red
conveyor and tractor.

The crowd is overflowing the pavilion even in the 93 degree heat, and some
people are sitting atop the hay bales. The event is being hosted by America
First, the president’s Super PAC.

Pence came from a fundraiser at Harris Inn Ranch, a luxury resort in
Coalinga. Your pooler was not allowed to listen to his remarks or get
within 100 yards of the room.

An administration official said Pence addressed a crowd of more than 100
supporters but did not immediately provide information on the supporters or
how much money was raised. The official said the Vice President expects to
raise more than $1 million on this swing. The official said the Vice
President focused on immigration and touted the border wall.

Pence is expected to begin speaking here shortly about USMCA and the
president’s trade policies. I’m not going to pool the speech because it is
open press, but I have a copy of his speech as prepared for delivery if
anyone wants.
